Sup packed filled with awesome goodies within XD

Sat Aug 8, 2009, 12:53 PM
Ok I'm officially free finally, even though I've been back at uni for a week, I thought I better update the happenings and I think I should start from about 6 months ago, or the bits I can remember :giggle:. Ok so in the Christmas/summer holidays there was a lot of crazy stuff going on. I was trying to finish all my overdue assignments from the previous term while looking after my younger siblings and then all the screwy things happening with my granddad. Anyway it was probably about a week before uni started back then and I still had an essay to finish, basically I felt like crap and wanted to have a break from uni but then I won't see any of my class mates or peeps at college so I was a bit upset :(. Luckily, I pressed on and went to uni, still I didn't finish that darn essay until last week!!!

Instead of making it easy for myself lol, I decided to take on three jobs at college: tutoring comp/media, fixings comps and being head of drama committee :D. A cool thing was the college gave me two huge scholarships which was awesome so when they gradually trickle in I will be getting this video camera [link] hopefully in a couple of months time :excited:!! Another awesome thing was my film got pick that semester so I got to be director and also producer :B.

If you haven't watch my film yet then you should because it's excellent, I haven't heard anything otherwise from anyone who has watch so enjoy it nooW via [link] (if you have decent speaker now would be the time to use, make sure the volumes up so you can feel the atmosphere) if you're like eww it's a doco boring :paranoid: well don't because it's so dramatic you'll be hooked right away, besides its only 5 minutes long!

My film was so much work though sp all my other subject got neglected but I just scrapped a pass on maths which I was so scared of failing :phew:. I was really proud how organised and non-stop I was all that semester, I was literally completing an assignment every couple of days, hopefully I can repeat it this semester but more time to devote to all my subjects this time.

Also sometime last semester my little brother ran away from home :| which I felt partly responsible for as I didn't get to spend nearly anytime with him during the holidays, same goes for this lot as I was finishing off that flipping essay. Mmmm so no break still and it's been 2 and a half years now, hopefully this coming summer I'll be free for a change. Lol I only just uploaded the last of the deviantions I did last summer today :giggle:.

So I just finished my essay last week, headed back to college the next day and had been working on a script for uni till yesterday when I handed it in. The idea I came up with was a world of shadows [link] I had the visuals in my head but I had trouble giving it a sequence. I was mostly staring at the screen for an hour or two then writing a sentence, it's really quite scary how slow I am with typing both that and my essay considering I had them basically planned out in my head. Anyway I got it done and my sister looked over it and really like the idea :w00t:. If anyone wants more details on the shadow land let me know.

This semester is really awesome we moved into the previously AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio School) building, it's so deceptive it seems to keep on expanding and then you walk down a tight hallway through a door which opens up into a massive four story high sound proof blue screen room about the size of a picture theatre!!! :jawdrop: That's not all the guest lecture we had in their was by Melanie Coombs who was the producer on Mary and Max see [link] (it looks so funny I wants to see it), she gave a very informing talk about being in the australian film industry which was very cool and daunting at the same time ^^;. So now I'm very excited about Australian films their seems to be a ton of great Oz videos coming out this year. I watched two really good shows which you all can watch for free online. The first is The Italian Spiderman which is a sling off of the old international films which tried to copy US superheros haha it's so bad it's good see trailer at [link] then find all 10 episodes on YouTube :giggle:. Also um I found this *cough* girly *cough* web show call Oz Girl, it is really well down, really really believably! If reality tv was like this everyone would be watching it, it's done like a reality tv show following this girl and although it's all made up it feels very real! I was going to recommend a particular episode because it was so funny but then it turned deadly serious. See it here [link] , guys too (it has some hot aussie girls in it :D).

So :excited: eiikk :D all happy. Also I've entered my doco in a film festival, I will find out this week if it selected or not, fingers crossed. K I better get some sleep seeing how the sun has risen and the sky is now blue. Apologies for the length, hopefully you'd enjoyed it though. :#1:
